Open Question: How can I get more defined without bulking up?
I'm currently doing cardio 3xs per week, playing soccer 2xs per week and lifting twice a week. My current weight lifting is full body both days with three sets per muscle group starting at 40 reps and dropping 10 reps while increasing 20 lbs per set. My cardio workouts generally last about 35 min., except the soccer games of course. What else can I do, or should I be doing instead? moreOpen Question: Is this a good workout?

Thanks for reading my question. I am 14 years old, weigh 111 pounds and am 5'3. I am NOT saying I am fat but would like to lose like 3 or 4 pounds and want to stay fit. I admit it, it is summer and soccer season is over and I dont do much physical activity. For the past 2 weeks I have been volunteering at my old school for their camp for 8 hours a day with the 3/4 year olds and when I get home I usually have a big snack and dont do much because I am so tired. I have noticed for the past few months I have put on some weight. My stomache looks alot bigger and I am getting embarrased to wear a swimsuit. I just want to lose a few pounds and feel a little better. I just got the eat this not that book and I am really watching what I eat. My biggest problem is food! I LOVE food and any type of unhealty food. I love sushi, steak, fried foods, really anything. I dont drink much soda, a couple a week, but the food really gets me. I know if I dont do something now I am going to gain alot this summer! I am going to high school this year and want to feel better about my body. Is it okay to do some pilates video workouts? I am training for soccer and wanna keep the passion up.... mondays: bike 2 miles run three miles competitive soccer for 50 min. I do lots of sports during the day , Kickboxing for 1.5 hours and workout for 15-20mins but i dont really need it im only 16,and an hour of soccer and somtimes jogging but only twice or once a week, and i do eat ( healthy fodo ofcourse aswell ) , and drink enuf , so pretty much i have the right amount of everything , but when it comes to NIGHT !! , i cant sleep oh my god and look NOW its like 4-5 am in the morning (dark) and i cant sleep !! , i tried everything , listening to music , even at 11pm i went to bed and i couldnt sleep !!! i did everything that i possiply could do to try and sleep early and the earliest was 4 am or so..ive been doing this for 3-4 weeks now and i gota stop....cos before that i have grown soooo much that i became the 3rd tallest in the family(out of 7) , but since 4 weeks i stoped growing and you know now its my growing age time and this is really bad, PLEASE help me , tell me what i can do or anything to sleep early , i want to sleep atleast at 11-12pm at night latest, PLEASE give me any tips , and now im getting tired since it is between 4-5 am .....i hate it so much , please give me any tips or tell me anything to help in this problem Thank you. moreResolved Question: Anyone know of a good weight gain diet?
Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows of a good diet. Im 5'5 and weigh only 118lbs I used to play soccer run track and lived a very active life...but I use to eat only 3-4 meals a day. Now I dont play sports everyday but I do work a 12pm-8pm job. If you dont have diet plan if you can give me a good protien shake to take or weight gainer that would be apprciated as well. Okaay, so I am 5'8 and 160 pounds. I just completed freshman year, the first year I really got intense with my athletics. During indoor track, I started running two miles almost everyday on my own, in addition to my track workouts, and then in spring, in addition to my lacrosse games + practices. I noticed my time improving each time, until recently. I can't seem to get much better these days, so i started doing 2.5 miles each day, but still havent seen much of an improvement in ym time for that either. Why have I hit a standstill?! Wednesday - go to the gym...do very light cardio (i.e. walk on the treadmill for about 1/2 an hour)...do very light lifting but workout the whole body...then at night im playing in two different indoor soccer teams...40 minute games each... Thursday...go to the gym...light warm up..then do heavy lifting with low reps...chest and triceps...then after lifting...do cardio... Friday...go to gym...light warm up...then do heavy lifting with low reps...back and biceps..then run after lifting... Saturday...go to gym...light warm up...then do legs (squats, raises, lunges and what not) then ...walk the treadmill for 1/2 an hour... Sunday...play street soccer for an hour or two...but no lifting at all... If rest needed i will take either the sunday's or the wednesday's off but still play a game of soccer.... okay I'm 14 and I'm going out for my highschool soccer team. I've been playng fro about 3-4 years and I'm pretty good. the only thing is that by august 11th i need to be able to do 30 military style push ups, i can do about 2 which is weird because I'm a swimmer and my fastest stroke is butterfly. My ankles feel a little sore from soccer practice because we had this huge workout. Note that they do NOT feel sprained or twisted. They're sort of just sore. I'm transferring to a private high school next year and have decided to play soccer. It is no cut, however, because of transfer laws I won't be able to play in games and will only practice with them. I used to do kickboxing, biking, swimming, and soccer. Then a year ago i seriously hurt my right ankle and knee. i workout almost everyday bout 3- 5 times a week i play soccer during in da week days and im still not losing my belly fat i used to be a 38 in pants size bout two years ago i have been doing progress im a 32 now, but i still have a damn belly really my stomach is like a brick wall with sponges over it my belly isn't round its flat and flabby if yu get da point i dnt have fat rolls but i do have lil bit fat on my chest, not dat much a lil bit almost becoming muscular peck Just gotta lose da fat and btw im 16 im trying to become a body builder but yu know that go over da next couple of years this is my workout i workout bout 1h 30 min - 2 h 30 min the time varies cuz i play soccer in da weekday if i do play soccer i workout for 1h 30 min or 2 h if i dnt play soccer (wen i do play soccer i play for 2 hours) ill run on my treadmill for 30 min i do 2 miles and im usin wrist weight ima buy ankle weights later i bench press for like 30 min - 45 min i workout with bout 125 rite now i do 8 reps 5 sets b4 i worked out it 115 i did 12 reps 5 sets my max is bout 140 1 set only 8 reps then i do a chest workout i found on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQAh7m4xsMo there da link then i do dis dumbbells strength mixed workout i use 20 lb each dumbell i do 1 push up, then do a correct curl, and do a milatary press up and dats only dats 1 rep of dat type of workout i do 5 reps 3 sets then i go do my ab workout i do 30 reach foot(help side abs idk wat that type of ab workout called but it hurts) 20 virtical leg lifts 15 reversal crunch and then i do correct curls for like 15 min whatmeantean corrective curls i ment this 1 in this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExtremeA0WXU and i do this exteme bicep wotkout (the first time i did this i couldnt move my arm) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UheCchftswc i put bout 40 pounds on 1 dumbell then i do squats with wights on me bout 80 pound on my shoulder and i do squats and dats my workout and i still have belly fat i eat da rite amount i even eat less now i stopped drinking soda im mexican and tortilla is like american bread well actually tortilla is like a chineese stick if it was edible and im eating less tortilla i drink laxative or detox tea probaly maby 1 a week im carful wit it cuz i dont want it to fuck up my digestive system like my sister did and i drink plum digestive juice( yu can buy it in walmart or publix) and i still have belly fat really in my head ill tell my self its like god chose me and only me for i wont lose my belly fat it a joke though im thinking of going to the doctor of my weight problem cuz i check my weight a lot now and it says im gaining wieght. i kno im gaining mustle weight but im not losing fat wieght though last year i was 160 and in da bigening of da year i was lil bit loose on da food but i still worked out i was 180 so i was a bit muscular at dat time and now im 175 and gaining mustle weight but im not losing dat much fat wieght cuz i still look thick any help??? oo and sorry for the spelling and grammer i do have good literature but not in da computer moreMore Workout For Soccer Results
